Our basement floor drain backed up on a Sunday. PlusFlow called back quickly, cleared the line and showed us on camera what caused it. Clear explanation, no pressure, and they left everything clean.

Service · Calgary
Before you dig, repair or build, you need to know exactly where the sewer or drain line runs. We pair a camera with an electronic sonde and receiver to trace buried pipes from above ground and mark their route, depth and any problem spots.
Overview
Pipe locating finds the exact route and approximate depth of a buried sewer, storm or drain line without digging. A small transmitter called a sonde rides on the camera head inside the pipe while a receiver above ground picks up its signal.
We mark the route and any defects on the surface, so excavation and repairs happen exactly where they're needed — saving time, landscaping and money.

No clear, no clearing charge
On eligible standard blockages.
Spot Problems Early
Problems build up gradually. Watch for these warning signs before a small issue becomes a backup.
A camera found a break, sag or root mass that needs a spot repair.
Garages, decks, fences or trees going in over unknown lines.
No one knows where the line or access point is.
You want to know where the lateral runs on a new property.
Planning work near other buried services.
Find whether a line runs under the problem area.
Root Causes
Understanding the cause is how we stop a problem from coming back — not just clear it for today.
01Older properties often have no record of the line route.
02Additions and landscaping hide original access points.
03Lines rarely run in a perfectly straight path.
04Lines get deeper or shallower along their length.

Our Process
Before you dig, repair or build, you need to know exactly where the sewer or drain line runs. We pair a camera with an electronic sonde and receiver to trace buried pipes from above ground and mark their route, depth and any problem spots.
A transmitter (sonde) on the camera head travels through the line.
A receiver above ground follows the signal and reads the approximate depth.
We mark the route and defect locations on site and note them in your summary.

Sonde locating gives a reliable route and an approximate depth. Readings can be affected by depth, soil and nearby metal, which we account for on site.
No. We locate sewer, storm and drain lines. Always contact Utility Safety Partners (Alberta One-Call) before digging.
